The Susan P. Douglas Award for the Conference Best Paper on International Marketing
As a tribute to Susan P. Douglas who was one of the founding members of EMAC, a prominent player and champion within its history, and a long staying member and contributor to the academy’s development over the past decades, the Susan P. Douglas Award for the Conference Best Paper on International Marketing recognizes excellence in research in the field of international marketing.
1. Eligibility
All papers submitted for presentation at the Annual EMAC Conference that have an international marketing/cross-cultural theme or perspective are eligible. Papers are not restricted to those submitted to the 'International Marketing' Track Papers submitted to other tracks are eligible, provided they have an international marketing/cross-cultural theme.
2. Selection
Criteria for evaluating papers:
- Quality of the paper (rigor, relevance), as assessed by the Award Special Committee’s in-depth reading of the paper
- Novelty of the paper in terms of research problem, method/approach, problem solution
- Impact of the results or findings on international marketing theory or practice and stimulation of future research
3. Award Selection Committee
The Award Selection Committee is chaired by the EMAC V.P. Conference. The two other members of the jury are the EMAC President and the Dean of EMAC Fellows.
The awards will be given annually and the winner(s) announced at the EMAC Annual Conference during the Award Ceremony.
